The finalisation of approving various development projects, to be funded by the German government, could be concluded within the next two weeks.
The Deputy Director of Bilateral Programmes at the National Planning Commission, George Likukela, confirmed this to NBC News this morning.
Likukela said feasibility studies into the projects by a hired consultant were underway.
The projects are part of the German initiative which will occur in the Herero, San and Nama communities.
The German government availed approximately 180-million Namibia dollar towards the initiative.
Likukela says the consultant has visited the various communities and have drawn up recommendations which would be published soon. He added that a high-profile delegation from the German Development Bank would visit Namibia this week to give their final input into the initiative.
The concerned communities who have submitted project proposals are being urged to be patient as the process is being finalised.
