The count down is on and SWAPO Party’s comprehensive victory is not only certain but guaranteed in the 27 – 28 November Presidential and National Assembly Elections. SWAPO IS THE PEOPLE AND THE PEOPLE ARE SWAPO. This the 100% truth. All those who tried to challenge SWAPO Party have always been defeated. After all some of these splinter groups have been there since 1989 when the first ever democratic elections were held in Namibia and they were defeated in 1989, 1994, 1999 and 2004. We must not forget that neo-imperialist forces are at work and have been dreaming to reduce the 2/3 majority of our ruling parties ANC, MPLA, FRELIMO, CCM, ZANU-PF and now SWAPO Party.

It is in this context that the current posturing of Nyamu Notes (Radopa) should be viewed. In Oshakati recently Hidipo Hamutenya referred to Britain, Germany, England and America as their friends. The question is for how long have they been friends? RDP is not even in Parliament not does it have any electoral mandate whatsoever. We are quite aware that Forum for the Future (FFF) and the so-called NSHR were the conduits through which imperialists have hatched CoD in 1999. In 2009 the same organisations joined by Nyamu Notes are the conduits through which RDP has been hatched. As such, it can be inferred that what is now the Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP) is the brainchild of imperialist donors who supported FFF, NSHR and Nyamu Notes to become a tribalist political party registered in the darkness with Phillemon Kanime who was hibernating as Director of Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN).

The Nyamu Notes had predicted RDP and it was launched 17 November 2007 with much fanfare. Its spokespersons were the NSHR and NBC, now joined by their new spokesperson Informante (Lead by Max Hamata). Every simple meeting held was covered by NBC. Every incident or meeting RDP was published on the Website of NSHR and the programme robots of NSHR were always talking on NBC platforms promoting RDP. Then came the strings of defeat at Eehnana, Omuthiya and Tobias Hainyeko by-elections. Literally, RDP was forced to withdraw from the Tobias Hainyeko by-election when it realized that Erasmus Hendjala stood no chance against SWAPO’s Zulu Shitongeni.

The RDP and its allies are agreed now that SWAPO is not their equal. It is clear that in any contest RDP will loose as simple as that. In recent times, it seems the donors of RDP have also accepted this eventuality. The new tactic now for RDP and its allies is to spoil the victory of SWAPO Party by tainting the process. The NSHR has trained some so-called monitors who are deployed in the regions with the “mission” of misleading and provocking SWAPO members into violence. The so-called house-to-house campaign is part of that strategy in order to incite violence. Jesaya Nyamu has now also declared that hibernators are indeed everywhere including at State House and they are “on a mission”. It is also clear that these hibernators and as long revealed by SPYL are also in the police, army, NBC, ministries and so forth. Can we really expect the Namibian Police for example to be objective in maintaining law and order or providing security during the elections?

SWAPO Party will not be deterred by implementers of Nyamu Notes who are hibernating because we have long known them it is not a surprise to us. We are and will also not be surprised that RDP and its allies are doing all these so that they taint the outcome of the elections and eventually withdraw from it altogether. There is a record of 19 years of peace, stability and tranquility that Namibia under SWAPO Party has enjoyed. The people of Namibia shall never allow any imperialist hand to reverse the gains of our liberation struggle. One Namibia, One Nation
